CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Mount Carmel boys swimming team finished the season on Saturday at the IHSA Sectional meet held at Champaign Centennial High School.

MOUNT VERNON, INDIANA – Mount Carmel finished fourth in the boys Big 8 Conference swimming championships on Saturday –their best finish in the brief history of the program.

Jasper won the meet with 351 points, beating the host Wildcats by 51 points. Boonville finished in third place, with 290 points. The Golden Aces were next with 84 points, followed by Vincennes Lincoln with 45. Princeton and Washington do not field a boys swimming team.

JASPER, IND. – The Mount Carmel High School boys swimming team traveled to Jasper, Ind. for its’ second meet of the season on Saturday, the multi-team Wildcat Invitational.

Bloomington North, Ind. won the 10-team boys meet with 516 points. Terre Haute North as next with 485 points, followed by Heritage Hills (336), Jasper (315) and Evansville Reitz (301) rounding out the top five. Evansville Mater Dei came in sixth with 176, followed by ell City (146) in seventh, Northeasst Dubois (40) in eighth, Evansville Harrison (12) in ninth, and Mount Carmel (9) in 10th.

BOONVILLE, IND. – The Mount Carmel boys swimming team opened the 2016-17 season in a triangular meet held at Boonville High School on Monday night.

The host Pioneers won the meet with 151 points. Gibson Southern took second with 61, just ahead of Mount Carmel with 50.

MOUNT CARMEL — Led by four high-point winners, the Wabash Valley Sharks placed third at the swimming invitational it hosted Saturday at the Wabash Valley College pool.
Olney cruised to the championship in the seven-team meet. The Tigersharks compiled 896 points, to 374 for runner up Carmi. The Sharks had 290 points, ahead of fourth-place Fairfield with 223. Brittlebank, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana (173 points), Harrisburg (141) and McLeansboro (117) rounded out the order.
