Paul Schnarre picked up his 1,100th softball coaching victory on Sunday as Wabash Valley swept a doubleheader against visiting Rend Lake.

The four wins the Lady Warriors picked up over the weekend, including a sweep of John A. Logan on Saturday, improves Schnarre’s record to 1,100-254 all-time. The 2007 coaches Hall of Fame inductee is the second winningest active coach in the NJCAA. He is in his 30th year at WVC.

In the previous two years before Brian Snow took over, the Lady Aces softball team produced just one win total. Last year, Snow’s first at the helm, the win total improved to three, but the team was more competitive, advancing past the first round of the regional as an example.
“At the beginning of the year, we struggled. But, I told them that I was more concerned about how we play at the end of the season,” Snow said. “At the end, we were in several games, and won a regional game, and only lost by a couple of runs to Robinson, who won the regional.”
This year, Snow is expecting a big turnaround.
