Cross Country

OLNEY, Ill. - Addison Drone finished 14th in the varsity girls race for the best Allendale finish in Thursday’s cross country meet against Olney Middle School, Olney St. Joe and Fairfield.
Drone covered the 1.8-mile course in a time of 15:43.
Megan Hoeslze finished 23rd with a time of 17:47, one spot ahead of Faith Witsman (17:51). Other finishers included: Carly Capehart (30th, 19:54), Madison McIntire (31st, 19:56), Allyson Armstrong (32nd, 20:25) and Meredith Jones (33rd, 20:30).

In the varsity boys race, Chase Keepes and Gehrig Jones recorded finishes of 20th and 21st to pace Allendale. Keepes clocked in at 15:12 with Jones three seconds behind.
Jonas Martin took 24th in a time of 15:46, followed by: Reese Noll (28th, 17:02), Eric Leffler (29th, 17:15) and Max Zimmerman (30th, 17:26).
In the boys junior varsity race, Zach Hurt finished in 31st place with a time of 12:14 over the 1.25-mile course. Keir Curtis took 32nd (12:30) and Manuel Borda 35th (12:40).
In the girls JV race, Taya York wound up fifth with a time of 11:03. Olivia Stinson (14th, 12:51), Meleah Armstrong (16th, 13:39), Katie Haase (20th, 13:41), Emma Keepes (20th, 14:09) and Margaret Harness (23rd, 15:03) also ran for the Yellow Jackets.
Allendale’s next meet is Saturday at the Salem Invitational.
