ALLENDALE — Jackson Marcotte scored 46 points to lead Allendale to a 54-31 victory over Geff at Allendale Thursday.

Marcotte scored 14 of the Yellow Jackets’ 16 points in the first quarter, and by halftime had 24 of the hosts total of 30. On the night, the eighth-grader had 19 field-goals, and went 8-of-12 at the foul line.

Brooklyn Sikes was next with four points. Colton Etzkorn and Madison Smith added two points apiece.

Geff won the ‘B’ game, 27-6. After scoring just one point in the first half, Allendale picked up the scoring pace in the second half. Samantha Clore led with four points, with single tallies from Madison Smith and McKenzie Smith.

St. Mary’s and MCMS continued their cross-town rivalry with two girls games Thursday at MCMS.

In the 8th-grade game, MCMS won, 38-21. Kylie Appelebey led the undefeated Junior Lady Aces with 16 points. Haley Maguire added nine. Molly Dardeen finished with four points, Sarah Martin had three, while Holly Hawkins, Lauryn Wright and Kameron Kline each had one point.

St. Mary’s was led by Morgan York with 15 points. Also scoring for the Lady Rockets were: Carolyn Harness (4 points) and Paige Hocking (2).

MCMS also won the 7th-grade game, 32-10. Ally Kendall led a balanced Junior Lady Aces attack with eight points. Karli Ellis added six points, with Sela Lashbrook, Dardeen, Kristen Judge and Madison Hodge all accounting for four points.

St. Mary’s got five points each from five players: Meredith Jones, Addie Drone, Amelia Tennis, Allyson Armstrong and Chloe Britton.

MCMS hosts Fairfield Tuesday in the final of a six-game season-opening homestand. St. Mary’s hosts Olney St. Joe on Monday, Nov. 25.
