ULLIN, Ill. - The Wabash Valley College Warriors increased their winning streak to eight games with two more easy wins over Shawnee on Saturday. After a 22-2 win on Friday. WVC (31-9) followed that up with 13-2 and 11-0 wins over the out manned Saints.

In the opener, Cole Gleason smashed two home runs and drove home four runs. Edgar Figueroa added a homer and three rbi’s, while Garrett Gordon had three hits. Brandon Allen (6-1) picked up the win.

In the second game, WVC scored eight times in the seventh to finish off the win. Clay Wallace (6-3) went the distance for the shutout win, allowing only four hits while striking out seven batters. Dennis Olszewski, a sophomore from Ann Arbor, Mich. had three hits and three RBIs.

Shawnee fell to 5-19 with the losses.

WVC, ranked 18th in the latest NJCAA Division I poll and winners in 18 of their last 20 games, hosts St. Louis CC in a single game on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
