Wabash Valley College’s two major league hurlers both got calls out of the bullpen on Wednesday.

Keith Butler of St. Louis ran into trouble against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He worked 1.2 innings and allowed four earned runs, allowing three hits and walking three. The righthander did strike out three of the 11 batters he faced.

The Dodgers won, 13-4, to take a 2-1 edge in the series that wraps up tonight at Busch Stadium.

For the year, Butler, 24, has a 0-0 record with an ERA of  4.05. He has thrown 20 innings in 16 appearances this season.

Ross Wolf of the Texas Rangers had a better night in the Rangers’ 10-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels. He threw one scoreless inning of relief, striking out one while allowing one hit. For the year, Wolf, 30, has a 1-3 record and an ERA of 3.89 in 18 appearances.
